All my books have primary authorization on my laptop. Recently I got a ulta mobile pc to reduce the load I am carrying (degenerative disc disease). When I use a book on the umpc it asks for authorization and works as expected.

Tonight I went to a public hotspot and authorized the books I needed to use while not at a hotspot. When I got here where there is no hotspot they asked again for authorization.

I will try next time to leave the books open after I authorize them and go to where there is no internet.

If you know a better way to do this please let me know.

We can reset/remove the computer that is currently registered as your offline computer. This will allow you to then set your new ultra mobile pc (sounds nice is it a Tablet or a feather light laptop?) as your offline computer. The laptop (older one) will still be able to access our 121Files with online permissions.

Leaving the books open, and computer on, may create a new set of problems by draining your battery. Just let us know what works best for you. We will wait for you to decide if this is what you want before reseting your current offline computer. Thanks. The UMPC is a very light tablet (touch screen). It is great for me.

I am less worried about loss of power over time because of keeping files open, than trying to predict what files I will need when.

If it is not so hard to change the computer that is authorized for offline use I think that would be best.

We deleted the computer registered with us for offline permissions. Our Permissions Server will now register the next computer you use to access a 121File as your offline computer.
