Questions I have 12 Months ago
I'm very concerned, because I just sent you 30 some books all of which I just bought and haven't had a chance to read. But now I see that you've gone to a higher level of security some type of triple X. spy stuff . The plug-in that you required to read the books now also requires an Internet connection to view them and this I definitely have a problem with. The machine that I view all my books with and read them from. Never has been on the Internet so that is the first problem. Second problem is I haven't had a chance to see if I have to be on the Internet every single time, or if it just registers my login and password the first time with Adobe or if I have to be on the Internet every single time. That too is going to be a problem being the only time I can view things is in the presence of a Internet connection, which surely wouldn't a work out for most people. I read a lot of my books in the middle of nowhere up in Alaska, hence I can't read any of my new books th is way. The book size since you should get to you either today or tomorrow. So please let me know a question on this password situation before you start cutting the spines.

Thank you very much.

You first need to install the FileOpen Security plug-in. There’s a link on the Main Menu under Free Trial. The first computer you use to open a 121File will be registered with our Permissions Server as your Primary Offline Computer. This computer will need an Internet connection the first time a new 121File is opened. Reader/Acrobat will prompt you for your 121Books.org name/pass, talk to our Permissions Server, and grant you offline permissions for that 121File. You will then be able to open that 121File without an Internet connection for the next 30 days, less if your membership is expiring soon. Each time you open/register a new 121File, it will reset the 30 days for all of your existing 121Files. So if you expect to be in the middle of nowhere for a while, download and open a new 121File before taking off.

If you later need to reset which computer you use as your offline computer, just let us know and we can reset this.

If you are away from your primary offline computer, you may still access your 121Files from up to 5 additional computers per day. These 5 computers are reset daily, so they may be different computers on new days. Each computer will need the FileOpen plug-in and an Internet connection. Our Permission Server will grant these computers temporary permissions. The FileOpen Security plug-in is authorized and licensed by Adobe and should not conflict with your firewall or antivirus software.

Give it a try and ask any additional questions if needed. Post your success, and we will **then** begin processing your submitted books when they come in.
